I now have a vision of him on centre court at Wimbles with his shorts at his knees. LMAO. That would certainly liven up the crowd no end.

I think if Marat had converted on t hat triple set point, he could have won the match. it would have given him the confidence. after failing to convert, i think he sort of gave up trying to match Kolya's level. I think he still showed that he can beat kolya, and I think nerves got the better of him

Congratulations to the 7 of you who predicted that Marat would reach the 2nd round - although he played wellish in the 1st set i think he was just a bit out of depth for the rest of the match. Ofcourse would've been different had he taken the set point but that's been Marat's story for last couple of years - bad luck and not taking chances. But his play definitely improving and i think the grass season will be a positive season for him and he best be prepared for Wimbledon - doesnt want to upset his legions of fans does he! yes, its all mental. I don't think there's anything wrong with his tennis or the physical shape he's in compared to 2005. he just needs to get more confidence and be calmer on big points.

Damn. Andy's just lost in 4 sets to Almagro. Can't really argue with the result - his game was up and down throughout the match.
Youzhny is 2 sets to 1 down to Verdasco.
