We had a great, but short time in Hamburg! Thanks to Annie, frensje, Alex, Davis, dawaymarat and Anabelle ( and Lena)!!!! You were great! I had a lot of fun with you!
And I swear you, you have to wear the red dress! Hahaha!

Thataboy! Just watched the match - that's more like it Big Yin. Thought Cilic would have been a handful, but you kept the heid! See what happens when you do? Cilic was the one that mangled the racquet (on a par with some of your past attempts ...)Very good solid display from you. Ironic that some nifty net shots got you there too. LOL. Liked the last couple of points in the first set. Show off! Keep it up!
Now Berdych. Forget the last DC match. You're starting from scratch - but you've got more matches under your belt than him.LMAO. Run him around at the start and keep him moving across- court. Dictate from the first point - I wanna see Tommy run. According to the commentators, the match is tomorrow - if that's the case, good luck. And girls, keep shouting for him. He needs to know he's not alone in Hamburg.
Playing the qualies was inspired. Take my hat off to you.

He saved 6 BP in 1st set and 2 Set Point but he play well after he saved 2 set point. and he play very well in 2nd set. The free seating during Qualis is amazing - we sat in the VIP box right next to Marat's friends. What a shame there were no cameras - they would have announced that Marat travels with 6 (!!!) women in tow now, LOL ;D That's absolutely true. It was fantastic ;D And indeed, he travels with six women ;D We always support him!!! I just can agree with Anette, the day was great. The weather was so amazing and also Marat's match. I'll definately support him on wednesday when he plays Berdych!!! Here are some pictures, I hope you like them...     Let's keep our fingers crossed that Marat beats Berdych!!! Daway! |

Davis, his net play was superb! Compare and contrast with 2 years ago! And he won a few crucial points on it today. LMAO. My only comment is that he needs to get up on his toes and move when he's at the net if it looks like his opponent is running down the ball. He still has a tendency to stand like a statue when he's unsure what to do next, and that's when he gets passed. There's too many strong counterpunchers on the tour today, so he needs to build up on other areas and try new things.
For gawd's sake, don't tell him to stop going in to the net! I'm preparing him for Wimbles!

Another PS Nice to see the boy smile again. He was getting awfy grumpy looking. Gawd knows why, he's more blessed in so many ways than most of us. Lucky git. LMAO.

Much more solid match from Marat today. ;D He kept himself together and avoided major brain cramps - that was enough to beat Marin. The first service still needs work, and the net play is so awful, he should simply avoid it... (sorry, Mary). But I suppose Hernan can take care of all that after his arrival tomorrow. Two piccies from today, from practice and the match: Thanks for the daily updates and the pics - I especially like the practice one! And I still trust his net play - although I agree with you it sort of failed rather than worked today- but I've seen better from him in other recent matches, so there is still hope LOL Enjoy the rest of the days, ladies! |
