Annie thanks Sounds great, seems to have everything on his doorstrep, just perfect for a young single georgeous man like our habibi. Hope he will be very happy there.
Get the feeling that he is not actually living there yet.? He said couple weeks ago that his place was been renovated. Must be a very expensive area?
I did not realise you actually had a 'White House' in Moscow also ? What happens at this 'White House'?
Hugely strong and with the ability to play any shot in the book - and make up those that aren't - he can, if he wants, win on any surface. But, depending on his mood, he doesn't always want to.

Teresa the area is the most expensive area real estate wise in Moscow, it's a bit noisy to live there actually but if he has a place in one of the quiet side-streets it's nice. I am sure he'll be happy there, it's in the middle of EVERYTHING really.
Re: White House. It's the house of the Russian Parliament.
... The June issue of Vogue calls Australian Open champ Marat Safin someone "People are talking about."
This was a mention in an tennis update By KEITH NIEBUHR, Times Staff Writer Published May 17, 2005 St.Petersburg Times..........which I think is Florida?? (not Russia)
So may be an American issue of Vogue?
Is there anyone that can go check out the June issue of Vogue and see is there is an article there about our habibi? Thank you

DAMITA thank you sooooooooooo much for the article!!!!! You did a wonderful job, it's a great read and must have been really difficult to translate.
Thank you thank you
Rosset is great. He totally has a point. A lot of people tried to understand Marat but nobody really can and I think that's what makes people get frustrated at him and write all sorts of bull....
I think it really is everything put together. Being Russian has something to do with it, too. We are weird creatures LOL, everyone admits that. We have a different way of thinking, different mentality and the darn cold makes us too tough rotfl
No matter how much I cannot stand to watch Marat lose his temper, I must admit I envy the guy. Honestly, it's a really good thing to be able to let the steam out (I just wish it wouldn't happen on court so much). I am a very emotional person and I get wound up very easily but my biggest problem is that I keep everything inside and it eats you up completely by the end of the day, my insights feel like bursting sometimes, honestly. I wish I could just stand up and send everyone and everything flying every once in a while......
I just hope that he comes to a point when he can be in peace with himself. He is so self-critial, his standards are really high, which only makes me admire him even more but I just pray that he doesn't have a breakdown from all the emotions drowning him.
Marat Safin is Marat Safin's worst demon and enemy. Love your enemies Marat, it will drive them crazy

;D ;D ;D ;D You liked it, don`t you?, hahaha. I knew it would be WWWOOOOWWW (sorry, I don`t have other words) since I heard about Marat in Vogue..... Here`s the typed article:

He`s got Game Dodie Kazanjian catches up with the fastest big man in tennis
Marat Safin is in tennis`s reigning enigma, the most mercurial talent since Joe Mc Enroe. At 20, he came out of nowhere to win the 2000 U.S. Open, crushing Pete Sampras in straight sets. He didn`t win another Grand Slam until this year`s Autralian Open, when he beat Roger Federer, the world`s current number one in a sensational semifinal and went on to erase hometown hero Lleyton Hewitt in the final. The five years between those triumphs were marked by dazzling wins, inexplicable meltdowns, and broken racquets. At last year`s French Open, he punctuated one of his more miraculous shots by dropping his shorts. “I don`t know why”, he said later. “I just felt like pulling my pants down”. Six-feet-four-inches tall and powerfully built, the movie-star-handsome Russian could go all the way at this year`s French Open. “I have a good feeling about it”, he talles me from a hotel in Valencia, Spain, where he is practicing for the slow clay at Roland Garros. “I grew up on this surface and I think I have a chance”. Wimbledon is another matter. Safin has never played well on grass. “It doesn`t go with me”, he says. Born in Moscow, Safin was first draw to soccer but was redirected to tennis by his mother, Rausa Islanova, a former tennis player who became his teacher. (She also trained Safin`s younger sister, Dinara, who is ranked thirty-seventh on the women`s tour.) At twelve, Safin spent a month and a half at the Bolletieri Tennis Academy in Florida. At fourteen he was sent to live in Valencia to train. Shortly after beating Sampras and rocketing up in the tennis hierarchy (he was ranked number one for nine weeks), he moved to tax-free Monte Carlo, where he has officially lived ever since. Almost everybosy, Safin included, agrees that his meteoric rise came too soon. High life, scads of girlfriends, and chronic immaturity undid his tennis. He slipped to number 86 in the rankings. Although he played brilliantly at times, people began to wonder if he would ever win another Grand Slam. Winning the Australian Open this year was a huge relief. “One Grand Slam you can win it by mistake”, he says. “Two Grand Slams it`s already something.” His greatly improved consistency has coincided with his recent hiring of Peter Lundgren, Federer`s former coach. The quota of wroken racquets has declined, and the range and quality of his shotmaking has risen several notches. Safin`s two-handed backhand is the best in the game. His serve is overpowering and his on-court speed is awesome- he`s the fastest big man in tennis. But sometimes, as Lleyton Hewitt said recently, “the mental side of it lets him down”. The only player to beat Federer since last summer (as of press time), Safin, whose current rank is number four, has emerged as Federer`s main rival. And how, I ask him, did he pull that tremendous win in Australia? “I managed to stay with him, and not many people they can do it,” he tells me in his halting English. “And not many times I would be able to do it. But it gives you confidence”. Safin is all too aware that these days you can`t keep winning with the same game. “Every year you need to pull something else,” he says, “because otherwise, people get used to your game. Now everybody is dangerous. Even the guys who are out of the top 100.”
Has Safin finally achieved the focus on tennis that`s eluded him till now? Don`t be too sure. “Our life is too short just to do one thing,” he says. “I want to play for another five years and then try myself in something different.”
We can say Vogue helped us to see this. But I think he already looked/looks like a model ;D ;D ;D . He is near to perfection (if not perfect) physically speaking, for me. Hahahaha, sorry, I`m still recovering from seeing that photo
